What do you guys that run events with a bunch of different clubs (in addition to THSCC) do about their individual inspection forms? Do you go to have it inspected each time? Do you look at the year ahead and pick out which groups you might run with that year and bring all the forms with you when you get your inspection? Just seems like a tremendous PITA that other clubs don't recognize the THSCC annual....any ways around it?

Jason, I agree it's a PITA. The only other club I'm aware that accepts the THSCC annual tech is MAARC.

I attended events last year with NASA, Mazda Drivers, PCA, and Car Guys. All of them make you go through the dreaded "tech line".

Vincent-
So you have to go through the "tech line", but what about having each clubs' individual tech forms filled out? Do you run to K&E (or your favorite shop) each and every time to have them stamp the form, or is there another system?
I am just trying to figure out if each time I run with a new group, am I going to have to run to K&E and see Dave, or is there a better (less time consuming) way.

For HPDE you Tech your own car. I belive they have a sheet you fill out and give to the instructor, and in the first seesion for HPDE 1 and 2 the instructor will go over the car.

Yes, for each club, for each event. Get tech sheet from each club, get car inspected and signed off by mechanic. Bring for to event. BTDT 8 times last year. It's a pain unless you use the same mechanic then the process goes quick because he is used to the car and you. But yes, you still have to go down and get it done. Some clubs allow you you to tech your own car and sign off on the form.

Ultimately though, no matter how teched your car or signed off. It's all on you anyway.

For pretty much any NASA-MA question, you need to contact fellow William and Mary alumnus Jon Felton. http://www.get-fast.net/main.html
