Dogs never complain if you go racing on their birthday, anniversary or mother's birthday. Actually they are always excited to come along.

I am excited to see the fifth event added to the calendar. Simply awesome. Oh yes, the dogs are excited too.

Well... my very first event was with TZC/THSCC at CMP in August 2000 and look where I'm at.

We have to take what we can get... and from our standpoint, August was a better choice. If it come down to it, it will be an advanced only weekend... no instructors allowed... how's that sound? (half-kidding)

Pros of August:
Mid-year, people still wanting to do events
CMP does not charge us a $15 per-car 'usage fee' like they would any other time of the year
It won't be cold
No pesky holidays to get in the way

Cons of August:
Hot

Pros of December:
It won't be hot

Cons of Decemeber:

Pesky holidays messing things up
Lots of people are 'done' for the year
CMP is not attractive enough (even if it is TZC/THSCC) for people to risk using up tires and brakes at the end of the year
Extra $15 per participating car on top of the regular track rental fees
cold
Puts us as event organizers in a tight spot trying to get that event run while preparing for VIR events in the spring

I have a tip for all of you that live in NC and don't like hot weather.
MOVE.
I hear Michigan has lots of open space.

I'll take hot over cold any day.

Yes, track fans "the" 2007 Schedule is posed on the web site.
Contracts pending on all dates so this is the real deal for '07.

As promiced, we return to a 5 event season with the return to
CMP. It's pretty much a no-brainer that CMP is preferable than a second Rockingham date. This should be a suprize as we did
say if two Rockingham dates were not feable and High Rock failed
to materalize, we would eventually return to CMP.

There has been improvements since we ran there last.
After a long brake, I look forward to driving there again as I'm
sure many of you do too. It may not be everyone #1 favorate
place but it's an important road course venue we can support once a year.

See Ya On Track!

We're planning to make it to VIR Full. (Please don't snow again, it sucked towing to PA Saturday night in the snow. The race car still hasn't forgiven me for that one.)

Outside chance at VIR-North in April too.

Now to try to remember how to use the registration page...

:idea2:

Diane... that'd be great if you can make it...

Who have you been running with up there? I'd be glad to talk to the registrars about them using MotorsportReg.com so you can stay in practice :D
