Hey everyone... wanted to go ahead and put this out on the forums about a proposed new track in TN...

http://www.thousandsunsmotorsports.com/home%20page.htm

I just got off the phone with Eric from Fast Visions of Tennessee about this track. While it is VERY early in the planning stages, I get a really good feeling about the passion and vision for the facility. The biggest fight, it sounds like, to get this thing off the ground is the fight with the Historic Preservation people who want another Nat'l Park type thing.

The people heading up the facility, and many of the political figures that will need to approve it, are motorsport people... so with our support, and lots of crossed fingers, maybe this will happen

Re: Highrock

Ms. Coco has this update at her website:

I know, I know, a computer sim and a real track and two very different things .... can't imagine where they got the idea for track side condos.

And that asphalt "cure" thing pop ups again ...

OK, I'm positive this track will likely not happen.

How's that?

Seriously. How many track proposals have been out there the last 5 years? How many have been completed?

There's Barber. And the new Miller Mortorsports Park, and BeveRun (kinda, still not finished completely). Barber and Miller were funded by individuals, not banks, so money was not a problem. But I've seen "proposed" tracks called Lightning Ridge (FL), Dragons Ridge (VA), High Rock (NC), Rauche Creek (PA) and I haven't heard any update on the 3.something mile Hew Hampshire track.

When I'm pulling out of the hot pits for my 1st out lap......
