Just to clarify a few items, We not only had 1, but two pace cars on track. The problem came when the rear one had to come in a bit early to drop someone off. A few people saw it as a green flag situation.

We also had a car or two Ignore the black flag ending the parade lap, probably because they had no idea what a black flag meant.

We are reviewing the events that happened, and seeing what adjustments we can make to keep this portion of our event running.

Overall we had a really good event, and the weather on Sunday turned out to be spectacular.

Thanks to all that came.

Oh, and Thanks Karl for a really fun session on Sunday.

Marty

Marty, you road with Karl? You are a brave, brave man!

Kidding aside Karl does know how to wheel a car around a track.

Would having the cars tuned into a broadcast radio channel like the one that lives in the bus be a potential solution for the black flag avoidance?

I recently was at a event that had a pace car for about every 15 cars. That seemed to work well at keeping things under control. I think that we should have no problem getting club members that are not instructors (they need the break) to act as pace cars. I volunteer to be one of the pace cars at the next event.

No, I didn't ride with him. We had a fun little game of cat and mouse..

(I was the Cat) ;)

In truth, riding behind him for a while helped me figure out a few items I needed to improve on.
