I just wish somebody had a VIR-type road course with no pavement. Now THAT would be fun. :D

So post your tentative track schedules folks. Let's see who is going where and when.

My HPDE plans for this year:

February 11-12 = VIR-F (Tarheel)
March 25-26 = VIR-N (Mazda Drivers)
April 8-9 = VIR-N (Tarheel)
May 13-15 = Rockingham (Hurricane PCA) *maybe*
June 17-18 = VIR-G (Mazda Drivers)
August 4-6 = VIR-F (Car Guys)
November 4-5 = Rockingham (Tarheel)

it is now readily apparent that I need a sugar momma :?

Or as Vincent pointed out to Kevin, just a cheaper car. Would no monthly payment put you on track more often?

I don't have a Vette, Ferrari, Lotus...the list goes on either.

PS. I don't want an STi or the payment!

Exactly! A Cavalier on track is more fun than an STi in the driveway.

A cheap car on track is better than expensive one in the garage!

An STi on track a couple of times a year, in the dirt whenever I wanna, autoxed monthly and daily driven is better than driving a Cavalier or a Focus on track every day. Actually, daily driving an STi is better than driving a Cavalier or a Focus on track every day.

:P

:D

I'd obviously rather have fun stuff available on a daily basis than do track schools or rallies at this point. Some day, that will probably change. :D

I would rather track a Yugo than daily drive an Enzo on the street. Needless to say, an STi doesn't really make the cut. Steet driving just isn't fulfilling for me.

In fact, you can put whatever you want in these blanks:

I would rather track a _____ every day than _______________________. 8)

Graham are you a member of the Tarheel Chapter of the BMW Club? The registration comes out first in the newsletter and the events are filled quickly by members.

Wow, you did hit that crack pipe hard! FWIW, I have done Road Atlanta in August and it can be miserable. Bring a way to make shade and huge amounts of ice. IIRC, the paddock is almost without shade and paved all over. Rumor has it that you can heat-cycle tires just by leaving them out in the sun all day.

Thanks for the info Mitch. I'll get signed up. Do I have to own a Bimmer to join? And if so can I just list yours, but show up with a plastic car
