Daddy like. Daddy want. Daddy want real bad.

Every time I see a Noble on Top Gear or 5th Gear, I salivate. Amazing vehicle and not too shabby looking to boot.

It just so happens that I need a 3.0L Duratec. Think that he'd notice if you swapped that out with a busted 2.5L SVT engine?

This one only has 300 miles on it... and he's had it for over a year... what a shame! (Drove it to the shop in the pooring down rain yesterday morning even!)

It can be yours for the low low price of...(in my best Burt Reynolds) seventy, uh thousand, uh dallars.

I saw one at Lime Rock in July during the ALMS weekend. Am I the only one that has noticed the Noble uses the same taillights as a Hyundai Sonata. They are a gorgeous car even with Hyundai lighting. The guy started it and revved it up. Pretty cool sounding twin turbo V6, even though it is a Ford engine

Silly n00b. The Duratec was designed by a collaboration between Porsche and Cosworth. Well, actually Porsche designed the engine and sold the design to Ford and Cosworth improved the heads.

Nope just have no interest in any engine that is in a Ford, even if it is designed by Porsche. If it isn't a flat-6 it isn't a true Porsche.

Hope that you don't want a new Maita. That has a Ford engine. Same as Ranger, basically. Shelby Cobra, yeah that sucked too becuase you could get those engines in other Fords, right? The maker's name is the least important part of any engine. I wouldn't care if the Duratec was designed by Ford and put in a Porsche rather than the other way around. As long as it is a good engine.

I am sure the guys on the team that won Porsche's first overall at LeMans might disagree with you, but I guess you can say the 917 "isn't a true Porsche" if you want. :whoknows:

This was more of a joke than anything else Rich. My family has had horrible luck with Fords so you couldn't pay me to touch another one. As for the new miata, I don't think I will end up with one, I much prefer my 94 to the 06 Sport I drove. Come to think of it I am not a huge fan of American cars in general. I am on my seventh car and I am 20 years old. The only car that I have owned that was american was my 1974 Dodge Challenger and that was because I have always loved the look of the E-body Chryslers. The rest of my cars are or have been Japanese. I know the maker's name is the least important part of an engine, I have torn down and rebuilt several engines and some engines in the cars I love most have really stupid design issues. It really is just personal preference that I dislike Ford as much as I do.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

I would say Air-cooled on account of tradition but I really don't care as I stated before most of what I said was being stupid. I do count the 924, 944, 968, 928, 917, and Cayenne all Porsche's just the same.

At least the new '05 Porsche's are back to round/oval headlights...

As for the Noble, MotorcarInvestments over on Hillsborough St. in Raleigh has one for sale, Silver and for 87k it can be yours..
