Frozen Frenzy check in saturday

are there Saturday checkin's ? If so what time, and what time is drivers meeting? I did not see it on the site.

I'm not terribly far from VIR so I was not planning on driving up till Saturday AM so I can save on hotel bills.

You can check in Saturday, i'll let somebody else who knows the times for sure respond though for that. I've never driven up Friday to get checked in, I just leave early the morning of.

Registration will be 6-8:30 PM on 2/24 and 6:30-7:15 AM on 2/25. Driver's meeting at 7:30.

We'll send out a full schedule earlier the week of the event.

4 is probably a little early assuming they have someone renting the track that day. I'll send out an e-mail the week of letting everyone know what time we can get in though.

I see the schedule has parade laps, can anyone come to do those?

also I signed up for yellow but was put in green, how do I get moved? I already sent an email a couple days ago I need to work on offline skills as I'm about to move to HPDE3 with NASA-SE I'm not sure how that will work running with the green group & classes

In the past, yes the parade laps are open to others, Saturday is all cars, Sunday has a limit on exhaust having to be stock.

Ask nicely. :-) People get moved around the groups based on relative skill and availability. This doesn't mean you're being "demoted". You'll get the same track time, with the same quality instruction. You may have more traffic to deal with, however. You'll still be able to work on whatever skill(s) you want. Offline driving can be done in any run group. (I wouldn't do it in red as they don't follow the same rules as the other groups; pass anywhere (eg. mid-corner), on any side, with a point)

I could probably be moved to red, but I ask for blue because I like having an extra set of eyes. And blue is a little more tame. I've taken a bullet for my teammates several times. Going to green! to give Kraig Klippel the car in yellow. And recently drove in yellow to let Charles advance to blue. I might ask to run Sunday (grand) in red if Mike (etc) agrees to it. (we'll have a ball doing instructor-student lead-follow.)
