Thanks to the Simon team for letting me hang out after the team I was going to crew for blew up in the sprint races.

Good luck to all teams for the rest of the race.

Tried to get a shot of at least all the THSCC teams out there this weekend. Apologies if I missed anyone:

With 2 hours to go it looks like Duff and The Silver bullets are out. Simon has a 4 lap lead over nine four motor sports when I looked.

I guess the worst day has been had by Big Red. They finally started 16 hours late and only got 2 laps in.

Ronald spun a bearing without 2 hours left. We're just basically coasting for the last hour.

Nine Four is one of ours, right? Andrew Jonell, Carlton, et al? (My apologies for the ignorance as I don't keep up that closely.)

BMR is midpack...wonder what kept them off pace this time?

Nope. Nine four isn't our team but the same car so it's been nice to see the car can be competitive.

One of our rods apparently became unhappy with it's unnatural confinement in the crankcase and made a break for it. It appears to have gotten clean away. The team noticed that the car was down on power and had developed a serious oil leak, so they put it on the trailer:

It looks like Simon won. Congrats on another one.

Bimmerworld had a fuel pump issue 3 hours in, and it mysteriously solved itself and they made up a bunch of time. Somewhere around 7am, they retired the car because of multiple issues popping up.

As always, it was a blast crewing for Simon and taking another VIR 24. It was good seeing other THSCCers out there, as well. Major hats off to Beast Mode and its crew of THSCC professional mechanics for taking the checkered flag yesterday; probably the most impressive achievement of the weekend.

Nice to meet you in person and thanks for sharing the photos. As always, it was a lot of fun.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

I'm told it was contact with Aaron in the Silver Bullets car (the third in the 4-wide) that sent him shiny side down. We lost a left-front fender in the exchange.

Aaron had the wheel turned nearly full right and the guy tried to drive up over our tire - launching him skyward.

Yeah, that was entertaining. Unfortunately, my RaceKeeper lost power on lap 2 of that session, so no video of the incident exists.

Congrats to the Simon Says team. Multiple wins of this event shows stellar driving, planning and preparation. - AB
