I know this is not an HPDE or race event, but it is on VIR Full Course:

http://virnow.com/2015/03/12/open-house ... s-april-3/

The Heart of Carolina Mustang Club will be going as a group to support this benefit for Victory Junction. Assuming our group is large enough to fill out a run group, we will get to run by ourselves for a couple of sessions in the morning. We run behind a pace car of course, but aside from the limits imposed by the pace car, there will be no dawdling, so it will be more entertaining than the general-population groups. If you're an HPDE regular, this may not get your juices flowing, but you can bring guests along, and they might enjoy seeing the track from the inside. Besides, it is quite literally "for the kids".

Last year, they were also selling (helmets required) ride-alongs in an Ariel Atom and a BMW M6 Gran Coupe sent from the Spartanburg plant. No telling if they will do that again, but those attractions were very well attended. The M6 reached 160 on the long straight after Oak Tree, but the Atom was absolutely visceral.

If you want to join us and help fill out our run groups, read on:

Meeting Location: Chick-Fil-A, Brier Creek Pkwy & Lumley Rd.
Meeting Time: Gather @ 6:45am, depart promptly @ 7:00am
Destination: VIRginia International Raceway, Alton VA
Cost: $25.00 in cash, check, credit card per session
Event Leader: Dave Olechovsky

Details:
* Not a breakfast meeting because of the early meeting time (Chick-Fil-A does open @ 6:30am for breakfast)

* Be on time, we need to depart promptly @ 7:00am so we can arrive by 8:00am as a group

* Make sure you have a full tank prior to arriving at the meeting location; we will not be stopping for gas. You can always leave the track and fill-up in-between sessions, its less than 70 miles from the meeting location to the track (There's a Fuel Stop gas station in Brier Creek)

* The plan will be just like last year; we’ will turn right before we get to the main gate and assemble in the open area past the industrial park to take care of the paperwork

* We will assemble the running order at the Chick-Fil-A so we can cruise up in the order we will be running. This will be based on experience and not on horsepower. For example HPDE instructors first, advanced HPDE experience next, then intermediate HPDE experience, and finally novices last.

Here's a custom Google map of the route we'll be taking from Brier Creek:

Anyone that lives west of the meeting location and would rather not back-track, meet us on the exit ramp off I85 exit 170, we'll be exiting heading west onto US70 towards Hillsborough.

Please PM your cell number and I'll call you when we get on I85.
