For those of you who want/need practice driving off track we wanted to avoid scheduling our events on top of Chump and Lemons local events. Are any of you who would attend a rallycross event in Wilson or Fayettville planning a long haul to any of the following events?

April chump race in NJ
June 22nd Chump race at Summit Pt WV
July Lemons in FL
November 2nd Chump in Atlanta

Hoping some of you fine folks will be enticed to come out for some really fun rallycross action.
Your friendly Rallycross VPs
Charlie

The General Lei crowd doesn't plan to attend any of those events that I know of.

We plan to do the Lemons in FL, but that may change given how long a drive it will be. (Barber was a haul, but I'd say worth it.)

We went to FLA for vacation b4, drove down..It was a real haul.Discovered a freind of my sister at the time, he had a honda element,it was thirstier than our 2wd explorer v6 ho with towing package..Why, it was so flat on to the wind, its four banger really struggled at speed. You will learn car control skills that are beyond what you learn on asphalt, it becomes a real challenge if you are not used to it.Ask any autocroser who has tried it, car does not do half of what you tell it, even on a good day.

Wow. If you're going to NJ to race a chump car, we'll schedule our events around you, but if you're going to NY or WV (or anywhere else, for that matter) to do a stage rally, you're not anywhere on our radar. Nice.

Funny how almost all the rest of your rallyxes fall on the same dates as NASA Rallysport events. And I was trying to get people who rally to come to your events for some practice. I guess it's time to give up on that. Have fun...

Kevin, you and I both know there are more factors at play here. We did take the NASA rally schedule into account, in addition to our own autox/track schedule, some of the LeMons/chump calendar, and the availability of our 2 sites. There have to be tradeoffs somewhere. Heck, I'm disappointed that I can't go to WV if only to volunteer. I'm sorry you couldn't make it to the last event or the upcoming July event, but I hope you and Liz will show up for the rest. Plus we all know you're having way more fun than us when you're away...

P.S. congrats on your 5th overall finish in NY! You recording this stuff yet or what?!?

Actually we were told that no stage rallies "North of the Mason-Dixon Line" were taken into consideration when creating the schedule, which is why this thread irked me when I saw it. Whatever.

We have a couple of videos on our facebook page.

Thanks for the congrats.

Please forgive my reference to the Mason-Dixon Line. I was just trying to indicate that we tried to avoid conflict with events that were within what most of our participants would consider too far. If you check the THSCC calendar you can see that it's pretty full. By the time we avoid our club events and don't schedule less than 3 weeks apart there aren't that many weekends left. And then there is the site availability to deal with. It took weeks to develop this year's schedule and we were delighted to get as many events in as we did.
I surely never intended to offend anyone, but since I did, I'm truly sorry
