Could be the WRL also as they do have ties with HPDE programs I believe.

THSCC needs to start a CrapCan Series............... we have enough rules lawyers here to make a go of it...........

I hate to agree with Steve, but can you imagine the protests if the guy in charge had an autocross backgorund? The protests would take longer than the race!

BTW, this isn't too say the fairness of the whole rule set of both 24HOL and Chump aren't a joke, as they surely are. However if you're in it to go and have fun, it really doesn't matter.

You assume anyone would actually be able to read the entire rule book and build a car.

Forgive me James but....... that would be the standard response of a "rules lawyer"......

First you can't click on the above link and get the updated page. go to www.racedaze.com

Looks interesting to me. Might have me getting the Track mini out of the garage.

Bracket racing for road courses. I never really enjoyed bracket racing back when I did it. It's not actually racing; it's just sandbagging and trying to goad the other guy into breaking out. Throw in differing driver skills and the possibility of rain and I can't see doing anything other than sandbagging and making it a road rally if we actually wanted to win. That goes against my desire to drive the car like I'm driving a real race car instead of something that a guy I know was going to sell for scrap after his wife totaled it.

I kind of like the LeMons classing process, overtly subjective and arbitrary, with lots of lying, bribes and misdirection, as well as dumbasses in black robes blathering on about VTEC or some other nonsense. It beats the hell out of the Chump mess, which only involves changing the prices on CL ads and printing them.

That said, we'll probably try it if they run somewhere that we want to go.

I agree that Lemons arbitrary approach still works better than Chump's hugely overcomplicated fiasco.

I'm looking forward to the 24HOL @ Barber this weekend, or at least I think I am. I'll be driving with The Silver Bullets in the 500SX so we'll see you guys there.

It's still on the mend. Hopefully we'll be running strong come May.
