What's the head count looking like? The entry list doesn't come up on MotorsportReg. Didn't we have like 180 last year? Just curious.

For any of you out there waiting til the last minute to sign up, please don't. We really need registrations this week to properly plan for this event. We are charging credit cards at the end of this week. If that poses a problem for anyone, please let me know and I can work with you.

Due to low registration numbers for the Friday portion of this event, we have chosen to cancel Friday and just run our standard HPDE schedule for Saturday and Sunday. We regret having to make this decision, but it was necessary to insure the financial success of our club going forward. For those that have pre-registered for this event, we do sincerely appreciate you supporting our club and HPDE program.

-For those registered for all 3 days – We will edit the registrations to change you to a Saturday/Sunday only and adjust the fees accordingly.

-For those registered for Friday/Saturday or Friday only – You will receive a separate e-mail to see how you would like to proceed with your registration.

-For those registered for Saturday/Sunday – Your registration will remain the same.

Reiminder: If you have made your lodging reservations, don't forget to change them based on the cancellation of Friday.

Stephen et al,

Very good call on limiting the financial exposure the club was facing w/ the smaller than expected turnout. VIR is VERY expensive to rent out. Based on the student numbers, and from what I understand, we were simply not going to be able to make this 3 day event happen without serious financial hardship. THSCC simply doesn't have the deep pockets of national clubs that could absorb a loss.

The track team will work with you to make sure your money is charged/refunded correctly. I sincerely hope you'll come on out and have a great time on this storied track. Always a great time at VIR!

No cards were charged yet since we were unsure what was going to happen, so hopefully no refunds necessary. We will be charging them here shortly though now that the decision has been made.
