Seriously, after 8 races in our Prelude we have seen what works and what doesn't. I you want to run a 944/928 or VW bug go for it, but don't be surprised if the end result isn't a "we told you so".

Actually that is a good idea, well maybe not a 302, but a motor swap is good. Make it an old slant six and the judges will love you. Maybe a running 4.3L from a wrecked S10? It's not like you don't have access to damn near every part in the yard!

Oh yeah, don't try to re-use anything electrical from the Poorsche that was designed by Hans. Save yourself the trouble and run your own wiring.

I prob should have mentioned this earlier. I was already planning on running our own wiring harness for everything. I wouldn't trust the factory old wiring for anything! :stick:

While I still think you are a tad nutty for going w/ that car, getting rid of the factory wiring is absolutely the right move. A friend of mine struggled for event after event with his LeMons 944 due to wiring issues that he couldn't track down. The car was appreciably quick when it ran, but it would just stop for no reason, and they'd eventually jostle the right wires and it would be alive again.

Perhaps I should clarify...we're all a tad nutty for doing this.

speaking of nutty, I was behind your run of the mill yard maintenance trailer with zero turn mower, couple of weed eaters, blowers, etc. Guess what they were towing it with. Yep, Porsche Caymen.
