we had thirty cars in class this past weekend, an all time spec e30 record. on sat i qualified third and finished second after the pole sitter (evan) was taken out by a bonehead competitor who decided not to brake for turn 11. i even had the fastest lap of the race (a new personal best of 1:51.8 ). video in progress.
the ifu was that afternoon, unfortunately it didn't start with an inverted field so the first few laps were kinda boring. after that it got REAL interesting.

sunday's race started out similar to sat, the top three qualifying spots were identical. this time evan stayed in the race and travis wilson passed me at the start. the four of us lapped together until a long FCY stopped the action. afterwards traffic was an issue but i held on to fourth. later i learned that mike skeen was piloting travis's car

second and fourth in the largest spec e30 field ever, fast lap of the race, and zero damage or mechanical issues with the car all weekend. hard to ask for much more than that from a race weekend!
