I believe they are bringing a new car, not sure which one. I think the Lincoln is still down due to the tranny.

Too slow (again) - as of 9/4 speedycop posted they had a full team for CMP

Kendt,

We are full at the moment, I think we have at least 10 drivers at last count.

Ahem - my checkbook ain't that big. Where did Cline go  ?

I was itching for a ride, but after looking at what the teams wanted I'm glad fate stepped in and saved me from myself.

So we (all our Lemons team members) get this e-mail last Friday:

Quote:
SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS
Remember, this stupid LeMons thing isn't only about nickles, sleep deprivation, and accidentally setting your pants on fire with welding sparks. There are real prizes to be had! For instance, the team champs from each reigon get a free entry to the Miami race....

blah, blah, blah...

And so, without further chit-chat, here are the team-title standings as of October 1:

blah, blah, blah

SOUTH REGION
1. Magnum PU, 30 points
2. rbankracing.com, 29 points
3. SuperTroopers/Road Warriors, 28 points

That's right, Team Magnum PU is the points champion for the South Region 2010!

Consistency pays off. In the three races at CMP this year we were 5th, 2nd, and 5th. We had a 4th place at VIR with Chump Car too, so I think we have done pretty darn well and I'm proud of our team!

We, along with the Grim Reaper team, are entering the last race in Miami too. This is a true 24 hour enduro that runs non-stop starting at midnight on New Years Eve.

Wish us luck!

Very cool, Vincent. Congrats.

Good luck to both teams that travel to Miami.

BTW, I have seen the Chump schedule for next year although it is not public knowledge yet. Let's just say that if someone is interested, they oughta leave a weekend a month available from January through June to travel to some great locations in GA, NC, and VA.

Congrats! I pulled a pic of Magnum off of somebody's gallary to put on my Wall of Fame at my office (Mens Craper). True story.

Lowe's is headquartered in Mooresville to be precise. With an additional corporate facility in Wilksboro (the original headquarters), just in case you want to know. Not that I have a badge that lets me into either location or anything...

To answer Stephen, in addition to Rockingham and the aforementioned home improvement arena we are no longer sponsoring, there is another venue of historic importance to the roundy-rounds that may be on the schedule. I have no idea how they will configure it, but it would be cool to be there.

I'll leave it at that until the schedule is official.
