I'm trying to work out registration (with work, wife, etc...) for the June CMP event, and I noticed there is a lapping day on Friday. I may go for just this, just the HPDE on Sat/Sun, or both.

How does Friday work (for a non-instructor)?

It's basically similar to our Red Group during a regular DE weekend. Passing anywhere with a point limited to intermediate level drivers and higher. No instruction. The track will be open to you most of the day (a few sessions during the day are reserved for drivers in the Instructor clinic only). They throw the checkered flag every 30 minutes, but you can basically go right back out after it's lifted if you want to. The only passengers allowed to ride with you are THSCC qualified instructors.

Thanks! It sounds like a fun time. I might just have to check this out. I'll see what my weekend schedule looks like.
