What shift (time of day/night) were you in the car Kevin?
FYI, we have no hard feelings with any of those guys...
or anyone else who finished BEHIND us.
HAHA, touche.
I did two stints Saturday evening:
-- In the Escort for an hour from about 6:45 to 7:45 (right before dark until after). I think it was one of you guys that I was battling with pretty hard right around sunset and the two of us went off in T7 (the transition back to the esses). Lots of fun!!!
-- Did 1.5 hours in the USS Enterprise around midnight.... I was the one that set the fastest lap AND I am the one that spun in T1 that you mentioned on the Chump forum (if this is the incident you meant).
I did not miss the turn, I encountered some MASSIVE axle hop in braking. At the polar moment of the car starting to rotate clockwise into T1 with me fully countersteering to the left, I realized there was no saving it, came off the brake (it is an automatic car), stomped the gas and steered as fast as I could to the right. This effectively went ahead and spun the car 270 degrees clockwise and I was able to controllably drive off the back side of T1 into the grass and get out of the way. The black marks on the pavement were very impressive, LOL. So was the significant cloud of tire smoke.
Excellent running with you guys, I look forward to it again some time.
