We could put Mike Whitney in it. BTW I can E-mail the movie because this guys server sends it at about 2400 baud.

It couldn't run in Amod it doesn't meet minimum size and weight requirments. that's essentially a rocket motor, I don't think you'd have much control over throttle.

Actually, if anyone really _does_ want an A-Mod car, there's a Formula SAE car from Pennsylvania for sale in Grassroots. Turbo CBR600 motor, programmable FI, sounds reasonably nice.

Don't know what the build quality is of those cars - never went to a college that had an FSAE team until this last pass through NCSU. THey are only asking $3500 with trailer....

Uhh, ok outside of the obvious cool factor 8) , that thing is running on high grade Hydrogen Peroxide. The stuff you buy at the store is 3%. I think lab grade is 30% +/-. They are using 70% and is probably hard to get for safety reason. So that kart looks REALLY dangerous to me. I am no expert, but I think that stuff would eat to the bone if it was spilled on you.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Actually Jon the SAE cars were given special dispensation to run in AMOD they weren't ever legal either. Now they have an SAE class for the old cars.

That's what I get for not ordering a 2004 rulebook, I s'pose. :)

I remember the special classification of FSAE cars in A-Mod. Thinking logically, they don't meet the wheelbase requirements for A-Mod, so it's probably a good thing that they have their own class now.

That being said, I think a well-built FSAE car could be a whole lot of fun. Wonder what the power-to-weight ratio of one of those would be....
