Yeah, 0.003 seconds difference on a 1 second long course. Since our courses are usually much longer than one second (lets say about 60 times that since we don't run at the RBC anymore...), we are looking at 60x0.003 = 0.18 seconds, and that amount of raw time might be the difference between a few trophy spots. Or the difference between me out-paxing my wife or not out-paxing my wife!

I think there were a couple of autoxes last year where Scott would've moved up several positions and placed 2nd or 3rd overall had he been running STS instead of DS - in an STS-legal car...

If Scott actually sets the car up well for STS, it could get pretty tough on Aaron & me.

No, I was on Azeni that day, still fussing over that one. STS PAX would have put me in 2nd overall. Up to the last minute I was considering running Pro class in STS for that event, simply for NCAC points, but decided I wasn't going to do NCAC, so why bother.

Just give it up ... that was over 9 months ago. Time to let it go. If Faulkner, Peterson, Pastorius had been on semi-fresh tires...yada yada yada :)

If all those people had been on semi fresh tires they would have lost just as bad on the grit in Sanford. Unless they quit running Hoosiers and started running full tread Kumho's.

Sanford is that useless when it comes to Hoosiers...

That's the truth. I corded one of my 12-run old Hoosiers at that event. They are a liability on the Sanford surface.

(It doesn't help that Scott drove _very_ well and I had my head up my *** getting all worked up over the course I didn't like instead of just driving what's there...)

Freshy-fresh 225/45/17 Azeni + Impreza RS + Kevin driving like a crazy person + STS Pax = everybody else being owned

You can't touch the Subaru at Sanford, baby.

Sorry, had an "Aaron moment" there. I promise it won't happen again... No, really... :angelslip:
