For those not at the meeting Wednesday, we are planning a 2010 Chicks School for the April time frame. We will set a specific date at the annual planning meeting in December. Start telling your spouses, sisters, mothers, girlfriends, and women you may know.

Woot!!11!11!! :cheer:

As most of you know, this is a FANTASTIC event for ladies who are interested in learning what autocross is all about but who might be intimidated by the competition events. Additionally, it is an excellent opportunity for those ladies who are already hooked on autocross and want some quality seat time and more advanced instruction.

Please cross post the Chick School information on other forums as it is available. THSCC has experienced AMAZING retention of former Chick School students, so much so that we now have our own Ladies Class!

Lastly, if any of you have ideas for sponsors, please drop me a PM. We are always looking for ways to highlight our autocross sponsors and help offset some of the Chick School expenses so we can keep it affordable for those just testing the autocross waters for the first time.

I got started last year at chick school and I can vouch for the awesomeness! I will be dragging as many chicks as possible to this one, and can't wait to help out however I'm needed.

I'll let everyone know what's needed as we get closer to the date. Thanks for all the support of the school! It is where I got my start autocrossing too!

Just wanted to remind everyone the 2010 Chick School is fastly approaching! It will be April 10th at Danville before the Points Event #2 on Sunday the 11th at Danville. This is a great event for chicks to get their start or to learn about the sport their significant other has been participating in. Also, for all chicks that participate they will get the member price of $20 if they come back to participate in the autocross on Sunday! That's a $5 savings! Let me know if you have any questions. Please sign up soon, that is if you are a chick of course! :)

Thanks to Carl and Emmie, the specific event info can be found through the autocross events page!

I've mentioned the school to a few ladies that are interested. Do you know what the fee will be to students?

$35.00 (it's hidden in the text).

Thanks!
Haven't had much time to look at anything for a while. Work has kept me hopping, especially this month with the games.

Reminder - Chicks school is coming up on April 10th.

All ladies need to register now. In addition to some great autocross instruction we will be having some fantastic giveaways, including a gift certificate to an upcoming SoloPro school. And no, men can not sign up and wear a wig to try to win the gift certificate. Even though I could see some of you Tarheel/Tar Heel men trying. :)

Men are welcome to sign up your lady friends though. This would actually be a nice gesture. I know I really appreciated when Stephen first registered me for the chick school since I didn't know what the heck I was doing or getting myself into.

Thanks all for your support!

I noticed that VIR is hosting a VCDA vintage race that weekend.

For the guys who feel left out due to the Chick Schools blatantly discriminatory policies, you can just truck over to VIR with your lawn chair and cooler of refreshing beverages and enjoy the races.

http://www.vintagedrive.com/Schedule2010.htm

I emailed the VCDA contact, who said that spectators were welcome, but of course you'll probably have to pay the VIR gatekeeper a few bucks to get in.

I know myself, my brother, and John Byers are planning on hitting the go-cart track for a little fun that afternoon.

Ladies, do you have all your art work created and submitted for any special awards or trophies you may be giving out? Since I'm your GM for this weekend, anything special you need help with? Only 2 weeks away, so want to make sure you have what you need.
