OK, time draws near for the intermediate school and things are shaping up. Details are on the web page. As stated this will be a mix of students and testers for the NCAC. Right now I'd like to ask for instructors for Saturday. You will get free entry into the Sunday autox.

Instructors: Not sure how many I need right now, but I'd like at least 6-7 for starters. We need folks that are great drivers, have at least 5 years autox experience, can give good constructive feed back to the students and are willing to spend the day to better the driving skills of another driver wanting to improve.

Let me know if you can help please.

Students: This is a great way to get some extra seat time and work w/ and experienced driver to get some needed feedback. You should be able to tell the instructor what you'd like to work on and attack it. Need to improve your braking, then here's the place. Need quicker inputs or advice for slaloms, then this is it. Come on and join us for a great weekend of car control and getting needed seat time to improve.

Please plan on being there just a little bit earlier than normal, we'd like to try to get first car off by 9:30 if we can, so car prep and course walks will be compressed. With only 30 drivers, I think we can make this work.

EDIT

As of this writing, it looks like the majority of entries are students save for a few of the names I recognise on the entry list. I really need some addtional instructors please. I think we're at ~27 students, so I need at least 7 instructors. I think right now I'm good for instructors. Thanks all!!

Current instructor list (need more please!)
1: Karl Shultz
2: Mike Miller
3: Rob Lupella
4: Gewn Baake
5: Rodney Wright
6: Brice Johnson
7: Bernie Baake

Thanks Rodney! Looking forward to getting some much needed advice and critique...other than "you need more practice"

BTW, when I pre-registered and pre-paid back in July, the fee was listed as $20, I guess by default....I can just bring the extra $10 when I show up?

if you are DESPERATE for instructors, I could help, but I'm far from a great driver. I'm really only qualified to be a novice school instructor, but you can use me as an alternate.

Hey guys my friend Kevin McCutcheon was signed up but he called me saying that he hit a deer with his moosewang and the car will be in the body shop during the autocross.

Long story short I was sent to make sure he got his Paypal back.

Brice you going to be hanging out for homecoming that weekend? I might be in town...

Same thing for the desperation. I am more comfortable instructing noobs, but if you have some borderline intermediates I can instruct better than I can do. :?

Rodney,

I'm pretty sure I can make it on Sat to instruct, but I'll know for sure next week.

Everyone coming as a student should think ahead of time about at least 3 main goals you have for the day. These can range from mental aspects (thinking/looking ahead, mental states, etc) to car control to specific element driving style, etc. Just ask yourself what are the three areas of this sport where you could improve the most, and wait quietly for the answers to pop up.

I'm out for instructing. I've got a shoot that was originally scheduled for October that was moved up a month this past week.

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

damn, that sucks. I'm starting to panic a little here. Full class and I'm in need of about 5 more instructors.

BTW, what to you mean by "shoot". You being photographed again for GQ?

I'm on the other side of the camera and it's unfortunately not for GQ. Although a boy can NSFW dream. :D
