So, I have an initial course design drawn up, is there anyone I can run it by for some feedback without giving anyone an unfair advantage? I'd hate to involve Rodney or Wes and show them the course map ahead of time given how tight their season points situations are. I've done a couple things a bit different than usual at Danville, but I don't think anything is unsafe (obviously as you alluded to, we'll have to drive it to find out).

Also, as far as driving the course beforehand, whats the general rule there? We're not supposed to drive it in our own car?

You can send it to me, since Vail has already clobbered me into submission in AS. :lol: I'll PM you my email address.

The typical rule of thumb is that you are not supposed to drive the course in your own car. This isn't an absolute, though. Let's say you and I are at Danville, and the only vehicles present are your 3, and my F250 diesel. I'm certainly not going to ask you - or even allow you - to drive the F250 around an autocross course. :lol:

I think most competitors would settle for the event chair being really fast on event day, assuming the end result is a great course.

Triad does, or used to give first place points to the event chairs, regardless of finishing position.

I like this idea, but instead of giving me first plaec points, can I pre-determine that Lee Williams gets 4th place instead?

Alterations to points standings are negotiable with the autocross VPs. Large financial bribes are welcome and encouraged. :P

This is somewhat humorous. Brice, since I'm the GM for the event, I will "have" to drive the course prior to Sunday just to make sure it's safe. I can drive you're car and you can drive mine. Rest assured I will take advantage of anything I can in the realm of being a VP 8)
