If your talking about the 20' cord I mentioned, that will be a fairly large price tag... one of my previous companies bought a monitor cord of that size for close to 50 bucks... maybe it was dvi and not vga... very poor memory... but, to hang a minitor on the side of the bus would be intersting...

That's Monoprice.com. I bought 6 - 6' HDMI cables for $25 shipped. You can't beat that with a dead cat.

Here is my video from Saturday. I can't consider it a great run because the car felt horrible and I never really pushed it very hard.

If you're using a separate laptop running AXware in announcer mode, that 20' cable would just be an ethernet crossover cable...

very true... and if you dont want cables that can be tripped over, I would suggest a wireless router... espcially since they can be picked up for about 20 bucks.

I only suggested the monitor route as people were saying the second laptop crashes the program.

Ah, I'd missed that. Thanks.

We had an announcer computer for a while. Wirelessly connected and all that. But once it made AXWare crash and that was the end of it. If you remember right, we had about an hour of down time trying to fix the problem. It wasn't fun.

If we want to revisit the announcer computer and have him outside, I am all for it. But I will emphatically say NO to having him look over my shoulder.

Let's revisit the announcer computer. Maybe it wasn't really the announcer computer that caused the crash at all (tho maybe it was) - you know how blame can get assigned in emergencies. We've also learned a lot more about using AXware in the past few years.
