Just in case some of you didn't realize, there is an AutoX at Sanford this weekend put on by TSCC. A great chance to keep the driving skills fine tuned and steal some TSCC wood. Currently there only 32 entrants.

A lot of people don't pre-register for TSCC events. So there will be plenty more than that number there on Sunday.

After the beating we got at Danville stealing wood is going to be a little hard.

While I sort of wish we were going to Sanford, there’s also an autocross for you guys east of I95 at New River Air Station in Jacksonville. We’ll be there. I know, I know, it's too far. Just so you know.

You'd have to ask Triad.

They have a tentative date down and are working on the final logistics.

Actually, I think just FT* and first place get pint glasses, 2nd+ still get wood I believe. The pint glasses do indeed kick ass.

Do you know what the tentative date is so we can tentatively plan to keep it open?

Yep. They've asked us to keep it on the DL as it's not set in stone. I'll see Scott on Sunday and ask if it's firmed up.

Been waiting to hear how the wood stealing went in Sanford today. Down east we did OK. We won our classes. Bernie was 2nd in pax and 11th raw. I managed 5th in pax and 16th raw.

Yeah, Chris, he put a beatdown on me today. But, hey, it's our anniversary and I'll still get a nice dinner in Beaufort out of it. Hope others had a good day as well.

I autocrossed 9.8 miles today, including the one rerun. Good seeing a lot of y'all out there, and it was nice just shagging cones for a change.

Minute and a half + runs are just silly.

Fun times. I really, really enjoyed the course. On further reflection, I think 90 seconds may be "a bit much." It's just too much to remember properly. The turnout was small, so we got six (!!) runs, my sixth of which I actually skipped. I was whipped, and the rapid fire nature of it meant that Chris and I couldn't get the tires cooled down.

I also saw very few clean runs - for the periods of time I was watching (and not working), I actually saw *zero* clean runs. That's not a criticism of the course necessarily, because 90 seconds is a LOT of time in which to make a mistake or two.

Chris and I did pretty well on raw times I thought, but both of us were plus a bunch collectively. Keith clobbered all the rest of AS (we were all running in pro class). Thanks, Keith, for backing up what Dustin told me last month about the "abrupt" steering inputs. When I slowed my hands down, as if by magic, the car started to behave a little better.

Fun times, but man, I'm beat.
