I'll keep this brief for now, since I've been up since 5:00AM and drove an untold number of autocross runs in the heat today.

- This wasn't the same old "look ahead look ahead look ahead" repetitiveness that plagues some other schools
- Huge amount of seat time
- Instructor/student ratio was perfect, and allowed me to work closely with one instructor (rather than two or three) for an entire session at a time
- The instructors all did a great job of articulating things that I didn't even know I was doing

Today was also the first autocross school in years that I decided to take very, very seriously. I brought Hoosiers. I checked tire pressures. I didn't BS with people very much, and I didn't pay much attention to how others were driving. So I'm sorry if I seemed standoffish, I was kinda busy

I went in pretty dejected and left optimistic. They zeroed in on one thing I've been doing wrong, and left me with some strategies and techniques for breaking myself of the bad habit.

Anyway, if you're looking to improve your autocrossing, the Solo Pro guys are doing the school thing a little differently. It's not the same old thing over and over again. Time will tell, but on the basis of today, it works.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Up since 5 AM again this morning after 2 trips to Danville on Friday, a world of runs yesterday, and getting ready to scoot back up there this morning.
What Karl said!
Fantastic school. It was great having Jinx, Eric and Tim as instructors. Each with their own techniques and styles of instructing, I learned from them all. Good coaching is vital in any format, but these guys have gotten it down cold with what they do. Not only are they among the best drivers in the country, they have a world of teaching experience as well.
Thanks to all who had a part in getting this rolling. It was a great (hot) day! More later after I see if I can implement some of the things I worked on yesterday.

Agree with both above.

Yesterday's Comp School was fantastic. I used the day to completely try to 'refocus' on things I have known, but tend to forget as time goes by.

Tim, Eric & Jinx were great - each with their own style, allowing me pick and choose from the best of all their styles to try to incorporate into my own.

So thanks for a great day, I could really say more, but thanks to two days up at 5am and two solid days in the sun my brain is fried! It was really fun and I just wanted to make sure I said thanks to all the folks who helped put the event on and to the instructors for being so encouraging.

Great School!

An excellent immersive experience in autocross education, especially for a newb like me. Thanks to all the coaches who had a great mix of theory, practical improvements and mental training to get me started in the right direction. Hopefully they intervened early enough to fend off the bad habits! Definitely benefited from the 20 runs in one day--so much seat time to learn from!

Thanks also to theTHSCC folks who got this event together..Gwen for the initiative, Wes and Karl for the logistics....Sorry if I left someone out.

So........When can we do another one????
