More than once yesterday I saw people walking alongside the course to/from their work assignments who didn't turn to look at an approaching car. Maybe people should be reminded that it only takes one novice in an old Porche spinning a donut into your backside before you wished you'd paid more attention!

Good point - a Porsche went well and truly agricultural to the inside on Saturday.

I'll ask to have a few minutes at the end of the Novice course walk to go over the workers tips for novices (cone rules, calls, safety, etc).

Maria, thanks for pointing this out.

A comment reiterated for everybody:

If at any time during an event you see something you think is unsafe, please inform a VP, Prez, or Event Chair ASAP so the issue can be handled in real-time. Safety has to be our primary concern as a club, and we need everybody's help in ensuring this happens.

Thanks!

Thanks for pointing that out. The other first rule of autocross is "Never turn your back on a moving car".

Okay what is all this hatred towards old porsches and spinning. Do I have some sort of disciple unbeknown to me? Has this person not yet learned the art of spinning it through the timing lights without hitting anything?
