The NCR SCCA region is holding an Autox at the Twin Rivers Mall, Sunday Feb 22. It will be held in the same lot as last year. Its a small lot, most old timers would compare it to the old Morrisville site.

You can pre-register here:

http://www.myautoevents.com

We are not expecting a HUGE turnout (Hoping for 50 or 60 cars). So if ya wanna scratch that Autox itch, come on out.

I traveled down to New Bern to run with the NCR SCCA - Cape Fear Region this past Sunday.

What a nice group of people and for their first event in a year, they did a very nice job. The lot was of decent size and the course was a challenging 38-39 second course.

Hindsight being 20/20, we could have gotten more than 4 runs in. But this being their first event in a while, they were justified on wanting to get it right. And they did get it right. My hats off to Ryan, Kevin and Rob for the work they put it.

I did get to use my new durometer. I never thought I would see Hoosiers with a rating of over 80. My truck tires come in at 70. The fresh S04's read about 30. Can we say "heat cycled" out? I do get my monies worth out of tires :)

I concur what Jim said, the event was put on very well, especially for only being the second event the club has ever ran. Had a good time.

Thanks for all the kind words. Im glad everyone had a good time. I really learned what it takes to put on an event this weekend. Everything seemed to go well, we ran 53 cars and were finished by 2:30ish and had fun runs till almost 4.

My head certainly wasnt in driving mode after dealing with T/S all day, at least thats my excuse  .

Results for those who attended are here:

RAW Times:

PAX Results:

CLASS Results:

The NCR SCCA region is planning 5 more events (1 in Wilmington on the 7th of March and 4 more in New Bern). Check www.ncrscca.com for more details.

Way to go, Peter! :D

Wish I could've been there, but after helping install a clutch (not mine) for 7 hours on Saturday and breaking the release bearing after it was all put back together, I decided to just stay home & relax on Sunday. Hope to see everybody at the next one...
