We have a new member in the club named Alex Haynes. We went to lunch today to discuss options for cars since Alex hasn’t pulled the trigger on a car yet and is interested in co-driving with folks to get an understanding of different cars from HP, FWD, RWD, AWD and so on.
Alex is not on the forums yet, so I wanted to go ahead and get this thread started for him while he signs up to post on the forums. Alex is going to drive my car in the first event, but putting him in the mustang w/ r-comps is probably not the best way to start out from a rookie standpoint.
Is anyone out there interested in letting Alex co-drive w/ you? I’m sure he’ll more than happy to help w/ expenses.
Does Alex have a car currently? I would suggest he bring that out and learn a bit before trying to score co-drives from club members. Until I can feel out someone for the driving abilities, I would be less than apt to hand over my keys to them. Maybe I'm crazy.

No, he doesn't have a car, only a Jeep Grand Cherokee, hence the reason for the post. My thought was he could sample cars and get input from the owners on cost, weak points, fun factor and so on. I don't see Alex as someone who's going to get crazy w/ a car (yet). Very respectful of someone elses toys...
