All,

I recently learned that NC State coach Kay Yow lost her battle with breast cancer earlier this morning. I feel that it is only fitting that we recognize her fight this year and earmark the proceeds from our event this year for her fund that is partners with the V Foundation.

I'm still looking for another cochair to assist David Spratte and myself, and would really like to see if any of our fast women out there would be interested in helping out this year.

I'll co-chair the event with Wes and Dave so long as they teach me something about setting up a course and chairing an event. I've never done an event so it's a good opportunity to learn from two experienced people.
