MotorsportReg is releasing another update/upgrade today ... thought I'd share this for any event VP's...
Quote:
This afternoon we released a major update to MotorsportReg.com that includes the following changes:
* New drag-and-drop form builder. It's not just an improved user interface as you can now more easily manage large order forms, use cloning to duplicate all kinds of objects (not just packages) and visually spot check your event. The 'Help' tab is the default and has a brief overview of how to use the latest enhancements.
* Form Builder preview can be submitted! We've made it possible to submit the registration form and run the same validation checks as we do for your members. This means you can test grouping, validation rules, etc and verify that the form does what you want it to. This also works in the normal 'Preview' tab.
* Added new 'Branch' type and labels to Groups. If you had a longer form and wanted to create a 'section' for one kind of item, you typically used a $0 package to 'hide' those like-items together. Now you can use our new 'Branch' which will do the show/hide animation on the order form and let you create a custom label. Groups also have customizable labels now beyond 'Select one from the following...'
* New vehicle fields. Extended vehicle profiles, primarily for racing clubs, to include Spec weight, rulebook page number, logbook number, VIN and tire brand. If you collect this on your order form today, you can instead migrate to getting it from the vehicle profile.
* Added proper PAX support. Autocross clubs who use the PAX index can now configure their PAX classes under 'Club Profile' and enable them in Assigners for your event. We added a new field to the reports that combines the PAX prefix with your Class for use in T/S software like AxWare.
* Class to Group mappings. Event segments can now tie classes to groups. For race organizations where classes X,Y,Z belong to Group 1 and classes A,B,C belong to Group 2, this can now be enforced to ensure your T/S data is accurate.
* Club and event questions now support longer lists of fixed answers up to 4000 characters (from 1000).
