"The Lincoln Airpark offers 35.6 acres of concrete for course layouts, 5.7 acres of grid space and 16.9 acres of paddock space. In all, the site more than doubles in size. "

It sounds like a very good site, I'm eager to run out there. The only downside is the tire budget will go up since it's on concrete. Fortunately, the "fun factor" should go up as well. The other good news is that the Finale goes back to the Saturday/Sunday format - yeah!! Also, it's a week earlier in September which is really nice.

Finale: Sept 5 - 6
Nats: Sept. 8 - 11

It looks like we may need to do a August Test & Tune at Laurinburg.

We're way ahead of you. I'm thinking about the Golden Knights area to do sweeper testing as the date approaches. As much as the fat guy in me hates to think about an August points event in Laurinburg, we might be able to do two weekends in a row there.

We've talked, it's in the staff forum as a topic. No sense doing anything before spring.

And, we still get to stop at the kick ass barbecue place in Kansas City. Which is pretty much a requirement.

The only place to stop at in Kansas City is Harrahs ;) - AB

Spoken like someone who hasn't been to the Woodyard!

Seriously, this place is worth the trip if you're anywhere nearby. But you have to call first and make sure they're open...they have strange hours. Harrah's is good, I admit. But I've eaten at the Harrah's in KC, and you're better served to eat somewhere else first if you want really good food anyway. It's not bad, but it ain't great. That said, getting "Toby's Lemonade" or whatever they call it at the I Love This Bar and Grill is another experience not to be missed. I think it's like double a normal drink, but it comes in a mason jar. So it's like eight drinks worth.

Donnie, I've seen you after 3 papaya margaritas (at the Chevy's in San Jose across from the Winchester Mansion), so I can't imagine how good you were feeling after the equivalent of 8 drinks :-) ...not that I'm calling you a lightweight pansey or anything like that :-)

Sincerely,
Anonymous
