That's right, Factory Five Racing (builders of the Cobra replica kits) are now offering a 33 Ford coupe/roadster replica kit! This car is designed from the ground up to be faster and outhandle their Cobra Spec racer!!!!
Full triangulated space frame. Racing geometry front IS with inboard cantelevered Koni coilovers. Rear 4 link for the street or optional 3 link borrowed from their spec Cobra racer. Accepts almost any engine/trany, but designed around the Ford SB 5.0L or the dual OHC Mod engine. Just over 2100 # wet.
First real world test they did an open course AX in FL against their FFR Spec racer they race in the spec series. The 33 was a full 2 sec(!!!!) quicker! This was the prototype car powered by a tired straight from the junkyard 200K mile Mod motor.
