THSCC's first event for 2004 is a Novice Autocross School at Old Sanford Airport for all of you out there who are new to this sport. Come out and get "schooled" by the the club's best autocross instructors. Requirements for the school - Entrants must have less than one year of experience, and have taken no more than one previous novice school. Lunch is included in the price, and there will be a series of course stations as well as "classroom" style discussions rotated in throughout the day. Registration opens 4 weeks prior to the event to THSCC members (*and friends*), and is open to anyone at 2 weeks prior.

Be sure to read the THSCC autocross rules and FAQ on the website to make sure you and your car are ready. Dress for cold weather, and be sure to bring something to drink. Some loaner helmets are available, but please bring your own if possible. We look forward to seeing you there!

THSCC will hold an early Test and Tune this year on Sunday, February 29th for everyone to shake the bugs out of their cars after a long (well, not too long actually) winter of modifications. The exact format it to be determined, but will likely be structured to give participants ample time between run sessions to make adjustments and minor modifications to their cars. This event is open to experienced autocrossers only with a mnimum of 5 events experience. Registration opens 4 weeks prior to the event to THSCC members only, and is open to non-members at 2 weeks prior.

Anything else that us n00bies can plan for?

Just wondering what is going on during the day, and how it might be structured. I have heard rumor that we will get many runs, but I don't know what that means, if they will mostly be instructor drive-alongs, or what the deal is.

If someone has the time and patience, I would not mind a brief synopsis.

Thanks!

- Brian

School entry limit has been bumoed to 40. If you know people that were on the waitlist, you might want to let them know!
