All the cute pictures in the world doesn't diminish the fact that the balance of auto-x power in the state has decidedly shifted to Triad this year. All you have to do is look at the recent PAX results for proof... :D

Wasn't me. :P

I think Jim is wrong, depending on who from Tarheel actually chooses to show up. :) - AB

Well, that definitely wasn't what I was referring to but now that you bring it up, I did hear they were talking about it as far away as Saturn... :D

Hmmm Maybe that is part of the problem???

I think the real key is that the Triad folks have learned to tap into their inner Monster.

Ryan, CCR doesn't have access to many good sites, AFAIK. So they do what they can. Please don't think all "SCCA" courses are like that. Try a national event sometime! Or even other regions that do have access to better sites.

THSCC does great courses, even on limited sites, that's for sure. Other clubs? Just depends. CCR is but one small SCCA region...

Not knocking CCR at all, in fact I've actually never done one of their events. The course in the videos reminds me a lot of the tight courses I used to run up in MI with the Detroit, Grand Rapids and Saginaw Valley Regions. I ran an event down in Florence last year as well with the SCCA and it was a great course!

Off topic...

I used to run with Detroit SCCA and did one or two SVR events (Barstow airport in Midland).

C'mon guys, let's be serious about this. The NCAC Cup is on the line, and we should do a practice course ahead of time to get used to the tightness. Whitney, can we borrow your driveway?

No problem. Should I leave a few cars parked on the driveway to simulate the 18-wheelers?

In case anyone feels like driving a mere 4 hours SCR and CCR are running a cooperative event at Michelin the week after nationals. The plan is to clone the Topeka courses as close as possible, which should be realistic given the site. Here's the prereg info:
