What a FUN event!!!! Wes, David and Scott should be proud!

Thank you to our crack scoring team who managed to only have 3 things that I had to fix in the results.

Thank you to Bowie and Marvin for cooking up some DAMN good Dead Birds! They really kicked ass!!!!

So Wes, how much did we raise this year?

BTW - I WANT A LOTUS ELISE!!!!!

The fat envelope that Malia gave me at the end of the day, including fun run money and 1/2 of the 50-50 is $7920. That is just cash and checks made out to the V Foundation.

That's not including the $105 that Scott will be donating back after winning the 50-50, and it also doesn't include any profit that the club made from the event which will be donated.

It also doesn't include any bet money, other than the $25 that Carl gave by not beating Eric in PAX.

Whew, I'm beat.

Edit: Bowie emailed me and said that we cleared $217 from the sales of dead birds too. So let's just go ahead and say that we're sitting at $8137 pending receipt of the bets and event profit.

That is a large amount of money. Good show guys.

I liked the course a lot. After the morning session I was actually P1 in AS for the first time this year. Predictably, the others all got a little faster, while I slowed down. Congrats to Chuck, who pulled out a great run on his last one of the day.

It'd been a year since I drove the S2000 on brand new tires, and I'm astonished every time I do it. It feels like the car's got downforce.

I actually started to get heat cramps towards the end of the day, and the drive home was less than fun. The first hot event of the year generally does me in - I really need to start exercising.

i had so much fun this weekend! thanks to scott for the drive!

i hate how i beat scott on the day that didn't count. i was hoping to repeat my performance, but coned away my fastest run today and couldn't perfect the shifting and braking...oh well, i still had a ton of fun. i'm very satisfied for my first weekend in the car.

so...who's going to let me drive their car next event? :P

I know that Sunday was the main event, but will Saturday results be posted?

That definitely was a blast! I had fun on both days, but have to say that Sunday's course was the better of the two.

Thanks guys for putting on a great show! :D

Yeah, that about sums it up!

I want to thank all the participants. There were enough times I heard "How can I help," that I lost count, and I don't think I heard anyone complain. As an event chair, that makes life a lot easier.

I almost had some champagne last night - to celebrate the end of another successful autocross season, but I reckon I'll try to come out again after a little more recovery.

My wife and I enjoyed Sunday's course. It was her second time out, and I think the small course was to her benefit, since it was easy to memorize so she could concentrate on driving. She made a lot of improvements over her first trip out, so we will see if she gets hooked on it.

This was the second course that I have hit the rev limiter in second gear. The other one was the last Sanford event IIRC. It was a fun, short, fast course. I need to stop trying to be a hero on the pivet cone. It costs much more time to be a little late than a little early in braking. I wanted to break the 40 second barrier, but it did not happen for me, but that was my own fault. Thanks for a great event and sponsering the V foundation.

That was a fun event. It was good to be back out at an autocross after an 18 month layoff.

It was a pleasant day, starting with Registration (what, no lines?) and all the way to the end. My hats off to the worker coordinators, they were really on top of things and quite pleasant about it.

Honestly, I was not trying to show off on the spin through the finish :-) My goal was to break 40 and leave all the cones untouched for the day.

Definitely a fun event, except for yet another rigged raffle. . .

JK of course, thanks to the organizers and sponsors for not just a fun event, but a whole fun weekend, the non-points event was a blast too, but after two days of hot autocross (without a drop of rain) I'm exhausted.

I'm still VERY curious what cone I hit on my fastest run. I didn't think I hit anything, and my wife didn't see me hit anything either as a spectator. I'm not worried about it (I imporved by .4 seconds, but not enough to move me up in STS class). It would just make me feel better to know I cracked 40 seconds, cuz I seriously thought it was clean.

Always a fun time. Would like to see the raw scores for Saturday. Congrats to Chris for that blazing clean 35.899 run to clinch the top spot in AS and also to Chuck for pulling out all the stops on his last run to get into second place (going to the left of the 1st cone in the slalom none the less!).

I was exhausted after 2 days of this. I need to start excercising as well! I felt like a fat man in the desert. Wait..I am fat and it was hot like the desert! ugh....see you all next time....

I had a great time at the event, and so did all of my guests. The course was really nice, and the event ran smoothly (as is so typical of THSCC events). I also think this was the fastest THSCC course I've encountered since I started autocrossing. Even my lowly Altima was carrying 70mph in one spot :D

I must raise one question though. Why didn't I get a trophy? The class results show that I won DSP by a second and a half.
