On sunday on my 3rd run I pushed out and slid into the curb with my right front before I could stop, breaking off part of the bead portion of that rim. The tire held air so I was able to drive off course and once more took a mechanical and swapped on another tire out of the spare set and rushed back to grid to make my final and quickest run.

I'm hoping Juliann could find the wheel in the scrap bin. They had already tossed it by the time I thought to ask them to bring it to me this coming weekend at the 13 Hour at VIR. Broken wheels are not only nice trophies, they can be used as hose hangars in the shop. :)

Yep, looked almost exactly like that. I haven't thrown mine away yet, but don't know I'd exactly like a reminder or such an expensive hose reel... It happened to be the same second set wheel we had changed to the day before. Iwas so glad I was able to get it stopped before hitting the fence just a few feet past the curb. Had we not had ABS I wouldn't have been able to miss it I believe.

Take a look at Gwen and Bernie's front tires? Looks like a lot of roll over.

They do look like they're rolling over quite a bit, don't they? Scary thing, Colin, is that I’m running more in the front than you thought. Front pressures were about 35 during that run.

Matt N. for driving a car with street tires pretty near quick enough to have won the GS open class.

I wondered how I would have done.

If I had entered open class, I would have driven in a (mostly) dry 3rd run group on Saturday instead of the very wet 1st group. As it was, I wasn't that far off their times on day one. Looks like I was .3sec faster than the fastest G-stock car on Sunday. Overall, I was .1 seconds off the open class win.

I think this car (06+ Civic Si) has been totally underrated by SCCA participants. This is the 2nd best stock fwd car (to the almightly 'R') that I've driven. I'm still the same hack driver I was, but now I'm killing people by seconds. It's not me. The car really is that good. I am now almost positive it is faster in total stock form (with Potenzas) than my STX SE-R that I've spent untold fortunes on to make into a mediocre (at best) STX car.

I have Michael Dacko’s, Matt Nicholson’s and Stephen Westerfield’s trophies from NCAC. I’ll bring them to Danville on Nov 9th, and the next meeting.
