I think I may actually have the Camaro ready for this weekend. The fiberglass repairs won't be painted but this is not a car show :-) Maybe I will even wash the driver's suit.

It is a shame I only have 3 decent tires or I would be touting the advantages of the CP pax. Stupid gators at CMP shoved the left tire into the fender well taking a few gashes out of it.

History says otherwise. :nana:

I am surprised we are not getting more bets. It's for a good cause folks and you get to gloat after you win. What could be better than that??

Wow, I may be out of touch with what you kids call things these days but I *really* don't want to know what that means.

Anyway, I've got $25 to the foundation that says a certain anonymous duo driving the "Honda VTaK FTD Monster" can't beat another certain duo driving another Honda VTaK product (OK, Acura, but close enough) powering the proper (front) wheels on average PAX finishing position.

In other words, take the average PAX position for each car and the car with the highest numerical position donates a 25-spot to the foundation. That should be easy enough considering the anonymous duo will be on fresh Ho Ho's and the real race car will be on, well, who knows what junk???

I haven't cleared this with the co-driver but I've heard rumors he is a gambling man...

So the winner (highest numerical PAX average between two drivers) has to pay?

Um, yea. So if one Acura, I mean car, averages, say, 1.5 on PAX position and the other averages 7.5 on PAX position, the higher numerical PAX position car pays. I may not be good with numbers but that would mean the 7.5 average car pays which I wouldn't tend to call the winner. Even though we are all winners...

You may be thinking of PAX time, perhaps?

Sure I'll gladly donate to the cause, though I think I'll just pay my $25 before the event since beating the best co-drive team (Feinberg/Spratte) will be quite the chore for anyone two autocrossers...especially since I'm not capable of making a clean run. Please let it be noted that I accept your challenge under one of two conditions:

Condition #1: Both of you must be drug tested before, during, and after the event...because I know that it's not possible for any two guys to be so fast without the aid of performance enhancing drugs :-) or

Condition #2: Come clean on your drug of choice that makes your driving peformances superhuman, then Karl and I will assign a special PAX to compensate for your drug of choice (e.g., steroids, HGH, or Jamocha shakes from Arby's). I'm thinking of a pax that's waaaayyyyy tougher than A Mod :-)

Sincerely,

Anoymous Hacky S2000 Co-Driver, Who Both Idolizes & Fears the Feinberg/Spratte Team

I think higher, I think order. First would be above second. But whatever. Math is hard. I like shopping.

I'm in.

(And I'm hoping your "no cone loan" doesn't comes due Sunday. :D )

Jim, what if one of us (me) isn't smart enough to comprehend the whole bet? I totally don't follow.

And I don't get the milkshake thing either. I even watched the Youtube video, and still...

It really wasn't supposed to be complicated. Really. And it's another reason I got out of academics-- I can make a Rube Goldberg device out of a box of drinking straws. :?

OK, let me break it down:

Drug of choice: Monster Margarita. That was easy!

VTaK Challenge: 4 drivers, 2 cars, 3 cats and 1 umbrella.

How: We make runs. Each driver has a best time. Each driver gets a PAX finishing position ranked among all the other drivers.

PAX Finishing Position: Non-negative integer starting from 1 and increasing from there (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc) thanks to the magic of Rick Ruth and Thor, the God of Thunder.

Average PAX position VTaK car formula (APPVCF): (driver 1 PAX position + driver 2 PAX poosition) / 2

Alternate average PAX position VTaK car formula: (driver 1 PAX position + driver 2 PAX poosition) * 0.5

WinnAr: Car with smallest APPVCF

Simple, Clean, Refreshing and full of Vitamins. :whoknows:

Ah, never mind-- my head hurts...

Besides, as David alluded to, I'm due to cone out an event. And I used up most of my VTaK in the ATL.

Jim

So Jim, my car versus yours, on average PAX finishing position? I'm in. Eric?
