Sorry Kendt, it was too easy to pass up!

Well, if I didn't do that, I'd be Found On Road Dead

Monster rear swaybar + crappy mild steel + daily driver = busted parts.

My own damn fault for not pulling an endlink for daily driving - that has been rectified  I'll leave further info for another post - back to your regularly scheduled AX program....

I'm liking the Dunlops alot - they've made great track and AX tires. [deleted] I've used up my forum allotment for tire discussion.

Excellent event, thanks.

First time running the Mazda 3 on rcomps, and the adjustment in driving style between that and the Trans Am on all-seasons meant it took a while to get into the groove. Also with absolutely no clue where to start on tire pressures, we were still coarse tuning until mid-afternoon. I think we figured it out mostly, although we'll have to do some more work at the next event to confirm that.

Brilliant fun. It was wonderful to be back on rcomps, and the Mazda is certainly fun to do it on. The only sad note is we'll be missing Danville (yes, we will unregister well before deadline) so we'll have to wait until event #4 to do it all again.

Think we might well be putting together a (tiny) tire trailer, though. Going to need to bring the canopy to the next event and we already kind of filled the back of the car between the two of us. Something to put (just) tyres on will fix that perfectly.

Again, wonderful event, thanks everyone!

Yeah, we all noticed the stickers as the tires rolled! Even the announcer made comments.

Sorry.. could let that one go by.

I honestly tried to get them off, but they peeled away about as easily as those DVD sealing strips. I gave up halfway through the first one.

As to where to buy them, Ryan, I'd suggest the same place you'd get your V-Tec and Type-R stickers for your 240. ;)

Great event everybody. Was my first time at Greenville and it sure is nice not to have to 'plan' to get to a port-a-hole :D Small piece of real-estate, but very fun course - nice work.

And for my 'tire $0.02', 4-yr old Bridgestone S-03's make pretty good AX tires - at least as good as 1-yr old RT-615's...

OK, to get super-tech-weenie on it - the camber plates are in the front, the LCA's that got reinforced are the rears, and the reinforcement is a small plate welded on the top like Ford did for the 03/04 SVTs after problems with the LCA's breaking.

And to get educated-tech-weenie on it - I'm seeking clarification on this.
I *think* understand the spirit of the rules, as far as reinforcement goes.

Nighthawk Black Pearl? I'm not 100% about the "N".

I think it's "Neutron Black Pearl." The Integra Type Argh guys like to do these things. For example, Shawn Whipple's car is known as MSY - Mad Skillz Yellow.

(ducking)

I had a blast! It's unfortunate (sort of) that I am relegated out of Novice Class due to my 1st place finish though. :|

It's time for me to be clobbered by some Mini Cooper S's I guess.

nice job...i feel like you're repeating my performance at then end of 2006:
trophying in novice your first two events, then being very competitive in street tire class in a terrible car.

Thanks Chris. As of right now, it looks like I will be joining you in TIR class for the remainder of the season. :)

I surprised myself with that 48.211 and did not realize how good of a time it was until I was reviewing the results this morning. I am certainly improving, but there is still a lot of room for learning and improvement in my driving ability. Like those that had suggested before, seat time will improve my times a lot more than modifications to my car.

As always, I appreciate everyone's (thanks Phil!) advice and suggestions. And not to be forgotten, thank you to all the individuals that worked so hard to get this awesome event up and running.
