This was an excellent event to come out to. If you missed it, you missed a perfect day for a well-ran autocross!

You know, it think I actually had more fun than Randy Melton! At least, while driving. He had more fun than anybody when he was announcing during the first heat :)

Thank you Karl for letting me drive your excellent :car: !

Thank you Les for your signs of encouragement

Thank you Jason for NOT finding that last .030 :D

rear window?

You must be working too much and not spending enough time on the interweb. Previous post:

Thscc Dues $35
Track Fees $325
Room at Lodge $0
Price of Rear windshield for MIni 362.65 (wholesale, retail 511.00)
Next day at track passing Corvettes (well one at least) and being passed by a Ferrari the entire time with Duct tape flapping out the back due to yet to be fixed rear glass. Absolutely frickin Priceless.

Apparently the new glass has an effect on drag coeffient as I was DFL in SM.

So, would that make it a mini-skirt?

Great event folks. I was a little concerned I'd end up in the fence or worse, but the course was really designed well. The fact that it was designed well AND was fun to drive was certainly a plus.

There goes that streak of two clean runs. I've got a feeling that once Dustin gets more familiar with his car, his times and mine will start spreading apart. Good run purple people eater! I also see Hersh is also stepping up to the plate. It's going to be a fun year in STU.

Thanks again to all of you who make things happen behind the scenes!!!

Man, that was fun! I didn't realize I'd coned my 3rd run - glad I was able to knock something out for the last one.

Big thanks to Vincent, Ryan and Chris Brown for all the help getting my car fixed Sat.

VK was obviously paying attention in welding class - he made some first class repairs to my subframe and swaybar mounts, and reinforced the lower control arms.

Thanks to everyone who made the event happen - I almost bailed when I was still under the car at 2:30AM, and had air in the lines when I did the first test drive.

Great Course this weekend! A big thanks to Gwen, Walter all that helped set it up. I want to thank you for designing a course that highlight my strengths. "A little car on a little course" 8) I think this is the best showing I've had in AutoX, 2nd SM, 5th Raw. Hopefully future course designers will do the same.

Special thanks to Chris Suich for pushing me HARD, I really had to work for the win. :D

I guess next time I won't come grid and needle you. :banghead: That probably pushed you to tweak out that last .117 sec. Congrats on the win. I'm happy to have been there.
Next time Ryan...

And thanks Wes for having wings and da beer's :drunkin:

Ladies class is going to be a class to watch this year. I squeaked past Mo by .056! Since we’re both taking the Extreme School this weekend-watch out! Then, look at Judie, .2 behind Malia! And, you never know about the “ones in the weeds”. I dare say there’s going to be some trading back and forth, and some serious smack happening by the end of the year. Thank goodness for my calculator. I’ll be doing some serious math this year, and I better be doing some serious driving too. This is going to be good competition. The very best good time. :!:

I just signed up for the phase one Evolution school, and I'm doing it on whatever's left of the Hoosiers after Danville the week prior. Seems to me I need to get back to basics. For over a year I've been telling myself "well, the raw times were great, I just need to stop hitting stuff (or DNFing)." I've finally stopped believing that things are going to get better without some outside intervention.

Karl,
Check your calendar. EVO school is this coming weekend. There is no event in between!
