So for once I won't have any complaining about there being MORE RED cars in your driveway, if you get these.

I should talk my dad/sister out of a new 328 when you can get an e46 M3 for half the price.

I'm running DSL so Jackie won't have any more PAX ups on me this season. Nobody better protest me. The 325Ci, I mean.

Speaking of the 325, if I can find some wheels for it, I could get in on some DS action since I got those 17" hoosiers...somebody has got some lying around, right?

Still looks like 944 ES for the most part, though.

I'll probably switch around w/ running the E30 is some stupid Prepared class or the stock Rabbit in TIR class. the latter is quite tempting as it was fun to drive last time and arrive and drive is soooooooo easy.

I've got some aftermarket wheels that fit an E36 M3 that I'd let go REALLY CHEAP. You just need to know that one or more are damaged. I dont' remember how bad, nor do I remember how many I have. I'm thinking five.

I'll be running my Altima in SM this year. When the engine blew up (50 miles after the dealer did warranty emissions work on it) in November, I worked the Nissan dealer for free parts/labor on the engine replacement, free rental car for 2 weeks, free tow from the break-down location, and also free labor on a JWT clutch/flywheel install.

It was great fun competing in STS. Now I'll get a chance to compete for last in SM :-)

Carlton, couldn't you run in TIR with some sort of an SP pax (FSP?)? SP allows clutch and flywheel replacement I believe. You might have a better shot there than in SM.

Sorry to hear about your engine blwoing up, but it sounds like you made the dealer make things right. I was wondering why you disappeared.

I see in the stock car class rules that my year Altima is in G Stock. Is there such a thing as GSP? I don't see G Street Prepared in the pre-registration page. Am I missing something? How did you work out that my car would fall in FSP?

Either way, I think it would be more fun to run in SM, since there would be more competition. I know a few of the guys that run in SM, and I know I can give them a run for their money. In fact, one of them still owes me beer. You know who you are.

There isn't really a direct relationship between the stock classes and the street prepared classes. You determine your street prepared class by looking it up in the SCCA rule book. Taking a quick glance, I don't see the Altima listed in SP anywhere which means it probably falls under the "2WD sedans under 3.0L not otherwise classified." clause in DSP.

Wow. A lil' smack talking. We need more of that... 8)

An Altima whooping ass in Street Mod. That I'd would indeed like to see.

I'll renew the $20 STS Challenge for the first event - no chickening out this time, Rodney...

I want to make back the money Chris won last year - Jim promised my car can win (you can wear my helmet, right Jim?)

Well, I had hopes of hearing from more of the ladies about what their plans are. I was thinking about the “Seniors” league, but putting the age at 60 eliminates several guys in the 55-60 age range who where actually interested. With Bernie having his STS2 car now it looks like the OF class would be down to about 1 or 2. So, with that gone to the wayside, and no one showing serious interest in HS, it’s Ladies, here I come! Actually, our Ladies class, for you ladies who are on the fence, is an outstanding group of ladies. The competition is very good, but the friendships and knowledge you will gain make it very worth while. Because it is so competitive, there are lots of guys with good intel who are more than willing to share. Everyone likes to help someone who’s truly looking for a 10th or two, so gals, you can ask for help…..and get it!

And, by the way, I was at the meeting and I still don’t know; was 60 the age limit that was actually decided on for Seniors? Actually, I think I’m beating a dead horse here, :deadhorse: but 60 eliminates pretty much all the guys who might have held interest IMHO. Like I said, I’m headed back to Ladies anyway.

Given that not everyone that expressed interest in the OF class was at the meeting, the age cutoff can be adjusted.

If you're under 60 and interested, please send an email to autocross@thscc.com so that we can discuss it without any whippersnappers being involved in the process.

I think I'll run the Celica in TIR with my HS pax. It would be nice to arrive at an event where adding air to the tires is all the prep required :D

what???? TIR should be banned. kinda like my last post. TIR is for those seeking alternative sexual relationships and graduates of that Durham tobacco university.

and again my friend, grow a set and run HS "straight" up against Bernie & Gwen.

not there is anything wrong with that.

i swear someone deleted my last post to this thread?????
