I'm in for X or DS this year since I'll be getting new shoes for the R.

I know Chuck and Keith are running DS. Anybody else???

There might be one more after this weekend. Of course, I might stumble across my dream HS car in the meantime. :?

I should be in X no matter what the car. Unless Bernie and Walter will let me in OF. Hey, I'll be 40 in July! <gulp>

If no one is going to join me in SS I guess I might have to consider getting humiliated in X class, but I don't really want to do that, so someone please join me in SS....

Jim, I didn't think you were serious about an R. There was a great deal on a black one for sale on Autotrader within driving distance for $11k with 120k that was all stock.

I'll keep my eyes peeled. If you want me to save you the trouble, you can have mine for an E46 M3- even trade...

I think so. I'll know something for sure by this weekend. No matter what happens, I'll be in Dixie driving something. I'd much prefer to hand you and Brian the first of *many* savage beatings :D in Dixie but if I can't get something ready by then, I'll bring the old warhorse. Or maybe David will let me drive his Mini. That's not exactly the ideal time to drive a car which I've never driven before but I ain't proud so I'll take my beating and deal with it!

Dude, if there is one thing you should know about me, I'm *always* serious!

Well, except for that previous statement.

I've been trying to keep my options open so if I stumbled into the right deal, I could jump on it. I honestly would be happy with a number of different cars but an R in the proper condition for a reasonable price is near the top of the list.

I hope you get one soon. Bryan and I talked about it this past weekend and the idea of sharing DL-1 data with two vastly different cars would be pretty cool, aside from taking you to the shed :)

We hope that our shock revalve will help in some areas too. I am not convinced either that we can't make a 275 fit legally on the front of that beast. If we can, then it may be all over for the Type R :whip: - AB

That could work. But speaking of which, think there's a pre-Dixie TNT we could fit in?

<-Never driven a Type R. Or even that recent an Integra.

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

That would be very cool. You guys should try to get some video going this year which would also be great for comparison purposes.

There is always something somewhere. It would be a bit early but there is a NASA event at VMP on the 20th. I may hit that one just for the heck of it either way. Triad is planning a TnT on February 10th at LJVM which is still tentative I believe. The LJVM site isn't the greatest (think slightly larger Park & Ride) but it's better than nothing. There are a couple of other options but they tend towards the "desperate driving distance for a TnT" end of the spectrum.

Hmmm...makes me wonder about running 265/35 up front with the 245/40s in the rear on the ZHP. The 265s rubbed too bad in the back but cleared fine up front. The car still understeers too much with non-stagger 245/40 tires all around (8" front, 8.5" rear wheels though), so I know it sounds crazy, but I wonder how it would respond. :? I guess I should pony up for some shocks for the car too...

What happened to this idea for your SS competition? :)

Matt,

E46 M3s are knocking on the door of the teens now!

That is my hope as well for the shocks. Oh and I will let you know if the 285 I have fits when I do a test fit soon. :) The problem with the 275 will be the height not the width.

Where would a '07 Porsche Carrera place? Have friend of mine that's rejoining the club that just bought one a few mouths ago. I was thinking it would place in either AS or SS, so you may have someone to whip up on...

It is in SS -- doesn't matter that its a regular Carrera, an S, GT3 or Turbo...all in SS. Tell him not to forget the R-comps.

LOL, yeah, I'm always "shopping", but buying...that's a different story. If I bought any SS car, I think it'd be a Z06 but don't have any plans near term. :(
