Boy am I in a rut,

First autox about 1972 (i.e. 33 years ago for you math challenged):
Cars I've owned which I've autocrossed:
1969 Mustang 351W GT (2 or 3 events)
1974 Datsun 260Z (LOTS and LOTS before being replaced by the Lotus)
1974 Lotus Europa Special (LOTS and LOTS before being retired)
1988 Mustang LX 5.0 (one or two low key seasons before becoming a tow vehicle for the FF)
1985 Van Diemen FF (LOTS and LOTS)
2001 Mustang GT (3 Night events)

Three serious autocross cars since about 1975.

Never use the term hijack around an air traffic controller (me). See how much fun this class is already.

Hmm... Since starting in 1999:

1984 GTI 2l 16v
1981 Scirocco
1984 GTI (co-drive for NCAC with Jim Wray)
1988 Jetta
1998 Subaru Legacy (co-drive with Steven Rankins)
2003 WRX
1984 944

And lots of cars that I've driven once or twice, but not even close to Mike W's 230+!

I bet anyone would be surprised, if you started keeping track, how many cars you drive. I don't go _too_ far out of my way to drive cars, but most of my family and friends know that I like to try out everything and they usually offer me the keys :)

Lists like that are fun, I'd encourage people to do it. I wish I had made a "movies I have seen" or "books I have read" lists. Good for historical purposes.

Sorry for the hijack!

Re - STX: I would run it if it weren't for a certain missing piece of emissions equipment :) But a trip to R&J may fix that soon!

You could run the car in DS open class on street tires with the rest of us.

That's cool. The more the merrier. I was looking at last year's results and didn't see hardly anyone in the class. It's definitely more fun with more competitors.

Well, we were novices last year, so only made it into STX for one event. The rest of the time, we were in NOV. I think at our one non-NOV event, there was my wife and I, and one other driver (also in a WRX).

So, we should help fill out the class so others can get some easy trophies! :)

Great, now Shawn's getting in on the fun too. I'm guessing I shouldn't get a year long trophy next year. :-)

Scott, I've honestly considered it but I want to make some changes to my Sube. (What are the cool people calling WRX'S anyway?) Nevermind I think I just answered my own question. How do you do that Scott Johnson wrote thing?

Shawn will have a competitive car next season too

If we decide to do away with Pro class, STX will be busy next year :)
I decided against the STi and my WRX is up on jackstands getting new shocks for the 2004 season.....

Les,

STX is just like Stock and SP, new hot shot cars and/or drivers at any moment. Put a trailer hitch on the Stang and get a light weight Mod car for CM, FM or F125. :D

That is something I'd be very interested in doing someday actually, its just not really feasible for this year. An FF or F125 car is quite possibly in my future someday though.

I'd definitely run in STX if the E36 M3 wasn't specifically excluded by SCCA. Anyone know if the E36 M3 exclusion will continue in 2004?
