If I recall correctly, the Z06 goes into the 70's in 2nd gear  - AB

Hey, anybody got an AS car that needs a co-driver? I promise I'll be nice to the car and the tires. I'd like to try something other than a Subaru this time, and would prefer something that can keep up with an STi.

I've already got a hired gun Kevin...

The 2-3 downshift stuff has me a little worried, but we'll manage. The STis will be suffering the same fate. The rest of us will just have to beat Buckley, Davis and O'Maley anyway...

When I autoxed my STi I never downshifted after I upshifted to 3rd unless there was a turnaround or something equally tight. Sounds like this course will keep an STi in 3rd once it's there.

It'll just make 70 in 2nd on stock tire sizes at 6400rpm. Even with your mad skills running at redline in 2nd will be a problem. You'll catch all kinds of torque steer and wheel spin. 3rd feels very smooth on faster courses and you still have gobs of torque when you need it. You'll be at 4500rpms in 3rd at 70mph. So very much in the power band.

The car is pretty easy to H&T if you have a different gas pedal. The stock one requires you to rotate your ankle too much. At least from my experience with my old bones...

Les you better beat O'Malley this time!

You know...I'm just asking.....BUT....what if NONE of the people participating in this little smack down actually win FTS? What happens to the money?

And ya'll just don't know how hard it is not to lay down some smack talk of my own, but....I'm just not quite that consistent in the STi just yet.....maybe next season I'll unleash the smack! :D

Good question Chris. I'll return the money to its original owners.

Forget what Karl said. What happens when your regular numbers win the lottery but you didn't buy a ticket? Yeah, nothing and you're pissed at yourself.

You've got to be in it to win it is my take, thus, fastest clean raw (or with cones if that gets it done) in the pool gets it done. ;) - AB
