Sorry, I asked this question in the other thread but it got sidetracked to tech inspection discussions and Rodney being called Randy. I'll ask it again here I suppose, what happens if attendance is still as sparse as it appears it will be, 5 runs? 4 runs+fun runs? Go home at 2:30 (or whenever we happen to finish)? Just wondering. I'm also hoping for seat time (but not desperately enough to put in two entries).


There really isn't an answer for this. There is no way we would ever guarantee fun runs before the event as you never can tell what will happen throughout the day. If we said there would be fun runs, that is like guaranteeing there will be a timing issue that day.

right, understood, I'm just asking if there is a POSSIBILITY of them, I was curious if the format (two day, same course) would mean that they would be ruled out, since fun runs on saturday would be more than just fun, as they'd actually be practice for the next day.

So the only people that could do fun runs would be people running on Saturday only, and who would work for them? Exactly. Sunday *may* be a different story. But we make no promises.

Since I'm not locked in any major point battles, I vote to let people do fun runs till their tires fall off.

Not to mention, if I were going to be there, it would be on Saturday. We're headed to the pumpkin patch on Sunday.

I don't have issues with doing fun runs on Saturday if there is time and folks willing to work the course. It would be one thing if we weren't running on Saturday, but we are, so everyone there is already getting a sneak peak for Sunday. It ain't going to be "run until your tires fall off though". If anyone has a real issue with this, maybe we can tweak a gate or two to change the course for fun runs. Either way, don't show up thinking they are gauranteed.

I'll discuss it with event chairs tonight at the meeting and see if we can come up with something.
