Just wanted to get a thread going about the upcoming 2 day event in Danville in October so people could get pre-registered and make plans. The event will be the same course both days, fastest time of the weekend counts. So you only have to run one day to qualify for points. Please make sure you pre-register for both days if you plan to run both.

Event Chairs will update this thread with more details soon.

Yes.

We would like for a volunteer to truck up a grill too because we're planning on having a cookout onsite Saturday after the event. We're thinking around the neighborhood of $5 a head for burgers and dogs. And everybody there at the cookout gets a free* case of beer!!!

*You do not get a free case of beer. You have to bring your own beer.

Putting this out there again for a volunteer to bring a grill up to Danville next weekend. It will count as a worker assignment, and we can help attenuate any grill fuel costs.

Also, if you're interested in working the gate, please let us know.

I'll be glad to do the early gate shift (7:30-8:30?) both days if needed.

so, even if attendance is sparse, will this be a 4 run/day event (with possible fun runs at the end), or is it possible it will turn into 5 runs if there's time? Just curious how its gonna work as far as keeping things fair day to day.

I'm only gonna be there Saturday, and if theres time, would love to be able to get 5 runs (or a couple fun runs in). I suppose it might be a bit unfair to allow fun runs though, given that they will effectively be practice for people who will be running both days (since the course is the same). Then again, they are getting more runs anyways, what difference does it make if they get 12 runs (only 8 of them being official). I don't really care either way, just curious more than anything else and thinking out loud. I wanna get as many runs in as possible, I could care less about winning, I think my fate of last place in STS is already sealed, unless someone other than Lee and Rodney signs up. . .
