I'm still working on the Club Cup tabulations. I'll try to finish it tonight but it might be tomorrow.

Gwen,

You used Jackie's Sat time on Sunday. On Sunday her best time was a 46.167 with a DS PAX gives her a 37.118 and 4th or 5th place for Sunday I think.

Chuck

I thought the Franks ran for "club independent", or was it just Chuck? Did Lin run for Tarheel or Triad?

I was under the impression that Chuck was the only independent Frank; I assumed that Lin was Tarheel since Anthony Hodges didn't list him for their club in the sister thread to this one on the Triad website.

Donna, here is Chuck's quote about the NCAC Club Cup:

Chuck Frank wrote:

Personally my opinion is the club cup was originally invented by Tarheel to "prove" they are the best club in the state thus stoking it's ego even higher (last thing this club needs is more ego IMHO) and is meaningless in the context that the NCAC as the State Championship event. AX was never intended to be a team sport.
Winning the cub cup is even more meaningless if the deck is stacked in favor of the largest group, shear #s are almost always gonna win whether you are talking about NASCAR teams or a gang fight, so what's the point?
Again IMHO the club cup is more divisionary than beneficial. All the clubs should be working in cooporation for the betterment of the sport not fighting each other.
I will be registering as "Independent" under club affiliation, I really don't want to have any part in this club cup nonsense. (I am expecting and ignoring any flames so go ahead and take your cheap shots if it make you feel superior!)

Thus Chuck didn't want to count. - AB

I asked Chris Lin to run for Tarheel.

I figure it was the least I could do since I subjected you guys to Eric Sienkiewicz running for Triad in my car.

Actually Eric ran Scott Sawyer's car on Saturday since mine decided to quit working somewhere near the start during my third run. Thankfully it wasn't major and I was able get it working again for Sunday.

Which seemed ironic to me since under his "TEAM DYNAMICS" thing in his sig on other forums he has GSL, HSL, and in some forums even "2007 ASL" National Champion. It's also a bit laughable that in this sport of RACING people think that everything should be about working together to improve the sport. Competition can be FUN on a level other than just person versus person, and that's all this was about, IMHO. Same with the occasional team competitions TH has had within its own events.

But hey, if he wants to get all high and mighty while at the same time basically flaming anyone who might try to further an effort to have some intra-club competition, so be it.
