Just like everyone says - it was worth it to run with another club to see how things are done, and get used to different formats.
VMSC runs in heats by number, with all your runs together in one session. Really challenges you to keep your head together and analyse the run quickly and plan for the next. I had run with them before and expected to have my ass handed to me, but I was at least in the same neighborhood this time:
