Huh? :D

There is an event on August 19th which includes an AutoX portion that some of you may be interested in. The AutoX event uses the NASA classing system and has payouts (cash $$$!) for the first few spots of each class. I don't know where they are planning on setting up the AutoX event but they are getting help from some local clubs so it shouldn't be too bad.

Here is a thread on Triad's forum about the event.

Here is a direct link to the event details.

I'm planning on doing the AutoX portion and it looks like fun. I may enter the swimsuit competition but I haven't decided yet.

Another option for that long lonely month of August.

BTW, they are expecting it to fill up fast so if you are thinking about it, don't think too long.

It looks like they will be using the same area we used to use at the drag strip for the AutoX. Free chicken bones for everybody!

There will be a car show, a drifting competition, a drag competition (cars, not dudes!) in addition to the AutoX. Sounds a bit like Nopi so it could be a hoot if you're into that sort of thing.

So the top Autocrosser in each class gets the same amount of cash as the "top japanese/euro/domestic", but $100 less than the class winner in the drags and $1300 less than the class winner in the Doriftos!!! That's effed up!!! Hell, the fastest autocrossers don't even match the 4th place dorifto fools!!!!

I think you should enter the car show Jim. I think a Best of Show award could rest on your mantle.

Think? I already did! I'm entered in all forms of competition and I'm taking home all the loot!

Those sucka's will never know what hit them!

Wait, I thought I saw a "Worst of Show"? Maybe I'll withdraw my entry. <sniff>

Yea, the poor AutoX'ers don't get much respect or cash but anything is better than nothing I suppose.

I should enter "The Dog" and see what happens. I might need a bodyguard or ten!

It's missing a key competition that sets NOPI apart from all the other lackluster motorsports clubs.

OK, all you NASA types. I went to the link and started reading to find the correct class for the little Mini green machine. Two ** by TTG means +14, then +10 for v710’s. Anything else? How the heck do you figure out what class you’ll run in?

You've pretty much got it Gwen. If you have any other mods (adjustable shocks, front swaybar?), you need to add the points up for them as well.

If that's all you have, you move up one class to TTF (20 - 39 points moves up one class). It looks like even if you have non-OEM shocks and added a front swaybar, you would stay in TTF anyway.

It's pretty goofy and I think there are many loopholes in the system but it is what it is.

BTW, I think that puts us in the same class. :D

Hmm, I come up with TTE for the Celica (that is my base class as well). I luck out on the tire rule, I run 205's yet they spec 235's so I get a 7 point credit for running skinny tires.
