fixed that for yea.....

Thanks!

Ya know, that's the only reason my car is so loud-- it helps drown out all the voices so I can actually concentrate on driving. :?

Unfortunately, it doesn't always work but that's where my killer yellow stereo comes in handy!!!

I'm not sure what I'm driving.
Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

You might be right. After I installed it over the winter the car has gotten faster and faster.

To prove it is all car, my 90-year-old grandmother will be co-driving with me at the next event. I predict nothing less than a top-5 PAX finish for her.

She is getting up there in years so to memorialize her rather severe case of cataracts, she will be running car number 420. The good news is that her numbers will be 3 feet tall so she can read them a distance of at least 10 feet.

Driving a FWD drive is a new and very weird experience. I think dropping even more pressure out of the rear tires is what got me into trouble. It did make it rotate more though...

So can you now relate to my challenge of driving a FWD Cavalier on track?

At least you have a real suspension, good alignment, and hardcore brakes. I have none of the above. The upside is those ceramic pads are low dust so my wheels were clean when I got home

Playing with the tire pressures will take me some time to figure out. The steering doesn't feel horrible but very weird.

Link to Triad thread with "course stuff" and video.

I've continued to update that thread if anybody who was at Sanford is still interested and hasn't checked it in a while. I'll continue to update it over the next couple of days as well.

Les - If you need a way to mount the camera and be able to use harnesses let me know. I'll have a harness bar with camera mount available at the end of the season.

I believe there was an S2000 in STS.

Indeed there was ...

The highlight of my morning was a guy asking where the paper numbers were ... for the four digits that he preregged with.

Was it the guy who's number was 0000? I ran the number 00 a long time ago, but at least that was kinda funny as it was meant to be "Double ought buckshot" but four zero's is just plain annoying. :)

no, OOOO was a new 500 series BMW. the guy was at his first event and had previously raced motorcyles.
I figured the OOOO was so he would remember he had 4 wheels.

And the guy with the 1/2 sheet of paper for class and number, yeah.

also on wood. I took FSP
(though no one else was running, I had offered my car to sheldon in the van so I could have competition)

0000 was my buddy Alex in his 5-Series, it was his first autocross and he is officially hooked. I was out there as well as one of two people in GS :)
