Doesn't matter. I'm gonna beat all of those guys anyway.

Vincent knows what it's like to suffer crushing autocross defeats at my hands. I think I finally scared him off into being a "track guy" one year

Well, for those keeping score, it will be a heads up battle between Keith and I at DC. The CCW's we ordered are being returned. We have lightweight wheel options now that are dirt cheap, combined with CCW has no idea how to estimate weights of wheels prior to building them.

Thus, we'll be on OEMs, this weekend. The competition there should be solid, for we have the 5th and 13th place guys from D-Stock at Nationals '06 in the mix, so it'll be a good testing ground.

Hopefully, the tires will hold up this time. ;) - AB

Do tell. Did they wind up being nearly as heavy as the stock wheels?

And where in the heck do you find cheap lightweight wheels of that monstrous size? If you don't feel like posting it, I can wait until you're all liquored up this weekend. As I found out in Huntsville, you're easy when you're tipsy.

I can tell. CCW quoted the 18x7.5" fronts to be either 17 or 18 pounds and the 19x9 rears to be 20 to 21 pounds. We got them on Tuesday... the fronts were 21# and the rears were 26#. (OEM is 25# front and 29.5# rear). What a deal for $2600

After a call and talking to the owner (coincidentally the guy who quoted the original weights), they are taking them back. Fortunately, I made some calls and did a bunch of searches. Front wheels at 19.5-20# weren't hard to find, but 19x9's lighter than stock were near impossible, especially with our 22mm offset.

I found a set of (4) brand new forged Konigs for $50 each in a 19x9 that weigh 23.2# each! Delivered to my door with hubcentric rings and valve stems (free shipping) was $200. Fortunately, I got the last 4 on closeout.

Needless to say, I'm thrilled. ;) - AB

Nice to know (I guess...) that S2000 owners aren't the only ones stuck with nut job wheel offsets for stock class. Fortunately for my checkbook, CCW appears to not make anything in 17" sizes.

Wow. That is amazing!

It sounds like you guys must have swiped a first-draft copy of my new book! I was wondering where that went... :D
